Piers successfully launched the Serviced Apartment Summit inc Extended Stay in 2013 to raise awareness of the sector, encourage networking, best practice and the sharing of ideas whilst addressing the challenges the sector faces to drive the industry forward. The event has since expanded to the Middle East and the US. He cares passionately about the growth of niche sectors within the hospitality industry and hosts the annual International Boutique and Lifestyle Hotel Summit. In November 2014, Piers launched a new business to business conference and exhibition - Hostel and Budget Traveller. Piers holds an MBA, ISMM and IDM Diplomas and has held senior positions in the national media and retail industries.
